The median C-reactive protein level, a common inflammation marker, was higher in patients with severe acne (0.7 μg/ml) compared to patients with moderate acne (0.45 μg/ml). However, this difference was not statistically significant (p = 0.165), possibly due to high variability in the data and small sample sizes:
